Peanuts creator Charles Shulz said, " Every painter wants to be a cartoonist and every cartoonist wants to be a painter."
I always wanted to do both.
I was lucky to have been a syndicated cartoonist with King Features Syndicate. I created the daily comic " Lyttle Women " and was one of the founding cartoonists of "Six Chix" which is still in syndication. I also drew a long running local comic strip, Feral West and contributed to the Underground Comic " WImmens Comix" in the early 80's.
Happily I now paint full time, inspired by a fondness for cows, ravens, the smell of hay, the freedom of mermaids and iconic bridges.
My work is in many private collections . I currently show at the Bodega Landmark Gallery, in Bodega California.
